Commentary:

The last time these two teams met, the Guelph Storm handed the Calgary Flames a thumping - 7-2 defeat.  It was the only regulation time defeat that Calgary had all season.  Certainly they had to be thinking about this as this game approached.  The Storm survived a close call against the New York Islanders in Round 1 - but for this game they would have their captain back - Kevin I. who was second in league scoring with 27 goals, 3 assists, 30 pts.  But the Flames had their captain and league leading scorer, Klemens K. (37 goals, 10 assists, 47 pts.).

But the difference in this game would not be either of these two scorers, but instead a Calgary forechecker who had 4 points all season.  Andres H. saved his best game for last - a goal and 2 assists.  But his offense was not the big story - rather, it was his ability to smother Guelph captain Kevin I.'s offense.  The big scorer was frustrated all game, with his only goal coming on a shot from near his own net.  Otherwise, Andres H. kept him from getting shots off and when he had the puck on his stick, he made Storm pay.  This is why Andres H. is the 2016 Conn Smythe trophy winner as playoff MVP.

Contragulations to both teams on a great game and a great season!
